1. Transportation sector

(1) Automotive industry:

- Body structure: Engine hood, doors, fenders, all-aluminum body frame (ASF). Using aluminum can reduce the weight of the vehicle by 30-40%.

- Power system: Battery housing for new energy vehicles (with extremely high requirements for sealing, heat dissipation and lightweighting), motor housing, engine cylinder block, cylinder head.

- Heat exchange system: Radiator, condenser, evaporator, intercooler (over 90% of automotive heat exchangers are made of aluminum).

- Chassis system: Control arm, steering knuckle, subframe, etc.

(2) Shipbuilding:

- Ship structural components: By taking advantage of their resistance to seawater corrosion, these components help reduce the ship's weight, enhance its speed and improve fuel efficiency.


2. Power and Electronics Industry

(1) Power Transmission:

- High-voltage transmission lines: Almost all use aluminum-clad steel wire (ACSR) as the conductor. Aluminum has a lower density than copper and is more conductive, making it ideal for long-distance transmission, which can significantly reduce the load and cost of towers.

(2) Electronic Appliances:

- Heat Dissipating Components: CPU coolers, graphics card heat sinks, power coolers. Aluminum has good heat conductivity and a lower cost than copper, making it an ideal heat dissipation material.

- Enclosures and Structural Components: Laptop computer shells, phone body frames, tablet computer shells, TV back panels. Provide excellent electromagnetic shielding, structural strength, and lightness.

- Capacitor Foils: Ultra-thin (micron-level) high-purity aluminum foils rolled to extremely thin, used to manufacture aluminum electrolytic capacitors, which are key components in electronic circuits.


3. Mechanical Equipment and Intelligent Manufacturing

(1) Automation Equipment: Aluminum profile frames, using modular industrial aluminum profiles (such as the well-known "2020", "4040", "8080" profiles) combined with connectors, can quickly and flexibly construct machine tool protective covers, automated production line bodies, workbenches, equipment frames, and cleanroom structures. This is the most common and fundamental application of aluminum in modern factories.

(3) Precision Machinery: Semiconductor processing equipment (such as wafer transfer mechanical hands), medical equipment (such as CT machines, X-ray machine moving parts), optical instrument platforms, etc. The materials must be non-magnetic, stable, and lightweight.


4. Packaging Industry

(1) Food and Pharmaceutical Packaging:

- Cans: Beverage can bodies (3004 alloy), can lids (5182 alloy).

- Flexible Packaging: Composite foil (such as milk Tetra Pak, pharmaceutical blister packaging), food foil (used for baking, barbecuing, preservation).

- Industrial Packaging: Industrial containers, chemical product packaging barrels, etc., taking advantage of their corrosion resistance.


5. Construction and Structural Engineering

(1) Industrial buildings and warehouses: Large roof, wall, and curtain wall systems. Aluminum plates have strong weather resistance and low maintenance costs.

(2) Bridges: Pedestrian bridges, mobile bridges. Lighter in weight, reduces the load on bridge piers, suitable for soft soil foundations or scenarios requiring rapid erection.

(3) Solar photovoltaic industry: Frame of photovoltaic panels (almost 100% aluminum profiles) and photovoltaic support system. Corrosion-resistant, long lifespan, matching the 25-year lifespan of the photovoltaic system.


6. Other Industry Applications

- Heat Exchangers: Besides automobiles, they are also widely used in household air conditioners, refrigeration equipment, industrial cooling devices, chemical equipment, etc.

- Chemical Production: By taking advantage of their corrosion resistance, they are used to manufacture reaction towers, storage tanks, and pipelines for chemical products such as nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide.

- Wear-resistant Materials: Aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃, corundum) is widely used as grinding materials, refractory materials, and ceramic products due to its high hardness.
